In light of the #PPG #powerpuffgirls news that’s everywhere*, I wanted to post all of my Morbucks WIP here outside of my fb album (here). I just have to get my contacts at this point and make her rocket pack then I’m finished. I have a few different PPG #cosplay choices in my list, but I always wanted to start with Princess.
I started the dress with scrap yellow milliskin, but I fucked it up when I was patterning it (cut where I shouldn’t have), so I got new (and better) yellow milliskin matte spandex that’s double layered. I will post wig WIP once I have everything put together, since her hair is an iconic part of her design.
Keep up on my fb for details, WIP, links, and more with my Morbucks #cosplay!
There’s a part of me that’s glad PPG is getting noticed finally, but then at the same time, I hate how it’s taken people over 10 years to notice it (1998-2005).
PPG is my favorite cartoon of all time. Literally. Number 1. Has been from day 1 when I was 12. I have the entire show on two different sets, video games, movie, toys, statues, a bunch of the PPG “girls of” t-shirts that have been out, Tara Strong being one of my favorite VO actors of all time and have been keeping up with the IDW comic that started this year. And while so far I’m not feeling the concept of the new 15th anniversary special premiering in January, of course I’ll be watching it anyway. I also appreciate all the thousand tags I’ve gotten about the special’s announcement, but, you guys… it’s my favorite thing. Of course I know and keep up with the news lol They’ve been talking ‘new PPG’ shit for over a year now.
I’ve posted some of my PPG collection in a couple #toytuesday posts, so scope out my Instagram to find them!
* The day the cosplay community remembered that PPG was a thing. “SOMETHING NEW! TRENDING! I NEED TO COSPLAY IT!” *cue plethora of PPG cosplay in the next 6 months*
